For those who don’t know, Wistia is a video hosting platform – like YouTube and Vimeo – but on steroids.
In short, Wistia tracks what viewers do, adds a CTA (Call to Action) shows you heat maps, viewing trends (So you can see where your video was skipped or rewatched) and gives you a much more detailed view of what your audience are actually doing while watching your video. This helps you make informed decisions about who your campaign is reaching and how you can improve.
Here are few reasons why we think you could use Wista to host video (And why we can’t wait to get started ourselves!)
We’ve all heard of explainer videos, right? So what do they explain? “All about your business…” is a little general and we would imagine your business is quite complex. Sharing business love can be a tricky subject as sometimes there is too much to say and too much love to share. We have broken it down into simple suggestions. The bottom line is short, precise, targeted videos, more than one if needs be and the more tailored to your specific audience, in the correct part of your funnel, the better.
We are all human. Some days we just can’t focus. As much as we all love our jobs and have worked stupidly hard to get where we are today, we can’t help but have really important things to do, like cleaning our office, planning our fantasy football team for 2018/19, scanning Facebook for the 5th time in 3 minutes or most likely, surfing YouTube for cat videos.
While having such a day ourselves, we came across a great video we found on YouTube, a sums up days we all know we have.
We all know the usual places businesses get videos made for… homepage of their website, YouTube, exhibitions… but what about the small platforms that are probably not worth making a video especially for? We can show you the places to put your video, to ensure you get the MAXIMUM use from it.
…because we like to mix it up a bit…
What you don’t ask for, you don’t get. A CTA (Call To Action) is what you’d like your clients to do after watching your video. Never end an explainer video without a call to action. If the video is engaging and the viewer is convinced that you can help with their problem, then asking the viewer to take action, shouldn’t be difficult.
But of course, it is not a simple as that.
According to Forrester Research’s Dr. James McQuivey, “A minute of video is worth 1.8 million words.” We believe this is because viewers see style and pace in the animation, they hear accents and empathises with the voice over. When mixed together these create feelings and thoughts, which make viewers then take action. This means that viewers take in more information watching video than just text, which means everything on the video must be exact and thought through. This is why the colour of your video is so important, because the colours you use tell a whole story their own.
Video is one of the top ways to grab your audience and make them listen. According to TNG, WeCapture, consumers who watch product videos are 85% more likely to buy products, compared to those who do not watch content videos. – But why? What is it that video has, or does, that increases those conversion rates.

Case study: GP Cars – Why it’s all about the context.
One year ago last month we finished an incredible project, GP Cars. The journey it took us was like a crazy car ride, learning new tricks at every corner.
The response has been phenomenal. Not only has it created awareness for GP Cars potential customers, it has been used internally to prepare the sales teams and used to recruit staff, ensuring each staff member understands the real core of the business.

The past few months we have seen a record amount of work come in. From larger companies, to smaller start ups. Each been a pleasure to work with, presenting their own set of challenges and learning curves. And right now… we are taking a few minutes of downtime.
It is one of those waiting days. We all have them. Waiting for client feedback, waiting for the go ahead, waiting for that call back. So we thought we’d take these few moments to blog. This time however, we are not going to talk about what we know about video, or how great it is, we are going to show you. Here are two amazing short videos which we have discovered over the past few months, which speak for themselves about how powerful a video can be.
