Where can I find stock video or footage?

Where can I find stock video or footage?

Stock video is great if creating images for your video isn’t for you. Maybe you’d rather buy stock. Stock footage and stock images are images or footage that people have created and are to be sold. This means it is often cheaper to buy than renting your own equipment and setting up your shot, but also means it is likely that you’ll see it again in another video.

Stock footage and stock images come with licensing restrictions. So you may not be able to use it more than once, or to broadcast it. You will have to buy the relevant licence for what you need. If you are unsure, check before you buy with the person who created it. The person who created the image or footage, owns it.

To get started here are a few places to have a look. Before you start, make sure you know what you are looking for. (Sounds silly we know.) But do you need it in HD? Square pixels? To be broadcast or just to be shown on a website?

Where can I find a voice over for my animated video?

Voice over is another extremely important asset to creating video. If you cut corners and do it your self, you are a risk of sounding cheap. Like the rest of the video, invest in getting it done well.

You need a voiceover your audience will resonate with and take note of. Think male or female, think corporate or personal. What stories do your voiceover tell without using words.

Tools to help with video conversions Part 1- Wistia

For those who don’t know, Wistia is a video hosting platform – like YouTube and Vimeo – but on steroids.

In short, Wistia tracks what viewers do, adds a CTA (Call to Action) shows you heat maps, viewing trends (So you can see where your video was skipped or rewatched) and gives you a much more detailed view of what your audience are actually doing while watching your video. This helps you make informed decisions about who your campaign is reaching and how you can improve.

Here are few reasons why we think you could use Wista to host video (And why we can’t wait to get started ourselves!)
