Video and visual marketing is so important and sometimes we just don;t understand why companies don’t do video marketing. We no longer rely on that catalog that drops through our door, -The Yellow Pages to find a business. Companies need adverts that will capture imagination, wow their audience, inspire them to buy your product and quickly. 2D ads no longer do this, bulky text is uninspiring, so what to you do to create a buzz around your business?
You create video. Simples.
We prefer the animated video type, but of course, the live action (with a camera) has a place in our hearts too.

YouTube videos have boomed. You are continuously vlogging (video blogging) about your life, your daily routine, how to put on your makeup, today’s feelings or emotions, all publicly. People are letting the general public into their lives in rather an intimate way.
What is wonderful is that these are real people, not actors. You are watching real life, which means with camera equipment on phones, anyone and everyone can do it. Ever heard anyone say “Music as the soul to life”? – well the same thing is true with explainer videos. Where graphics are food for the eyes, music is food for the ears. Both are just as important as the other.
We saw a post on Facebook (Other social networking sites are available 🙂 ) which said “I wish my life had background music so I could understand what the hell is going on” could you imagine playing your favourite video game, or watching a film at your local cinema where there were no music or sound effects? Would you feel as involved and engrossed in what you’re watching? Would you jump at the right moment? Would you realise you’ve picked up extra life points? Watch a film with the mute button on, you quickly lose track of the storyline and you have no idea what’s going on – much like our lives at some point.
What you don’t ask for, you don’t get. A CTA (Call To Action) is what you’d like your clients to do after watching your video. Never end an explainer video without a call to action. If the video is engaging and the viewer is convinced that you can help with their problem, then asking the viewer to take action, shouldn’t be difficult.
But of course, it is not a simple as that.
