Through an animated explainer video.
Their website had a simple design, with no distractions or links. It invited you do to just one thing: watch the video.

Twitter and Facebook lit up with the Dropbox video… it went viral! It resulted in 10% increase in signups, which meant 10 million extra customers, that became that $48,000,000 extra revenue. Now of course, Dropbox has 50 million customers, with a new sign up every second.
Not bad for a two minute explainer video.
OK, Dropbox did extremely well and no can promise that all explainer videos do this every time – but they really do increase conversion rates and make people listen and take note of your message. They are an invaluable marketing tool when you want to promote your business.
